MEDIA RELEASE: Tioga County Public Health 2026 Team Member of the Second Quarter

Congratulations to Kristin Russell for being named the 2026 Team Member of the Second Quarter for Tioga County Public Health (TCPH). 

Kristin started working at TCPH in June 2024 as a Public Health Educator. Through her work on the Tioga County Advocacy Support and Prevention (ASAP) Coalition, Kristin exemplifies the mission of Tioga County Public Health. She partners with local businesses, organizations, and schools to educate the community on the dangers of substance use, and advocates for our vulnerable populations. 

Kristin works hard on both the Tioga County ASAP Coalition and the Suicide Prevention Coalition. She manages initiatives for both coalitions and recently wrote an impressive grant application for the Suicide Prevention Coalition that was recently received; one that only 5 New York State counties were selected for.  She is a team player that is always willing to help get the job done. Lastly, Kristin brings new ideas and perspectives to the Health Education team. 

In her role as the Tioga County ASAP Coalition Coordinator, she developed strong community partnerships to ensure activities are implemented including coordinating the free community screenings at the Tioga Theater, partnering with the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office to conduct compliance checks and assist with their STOP DWI education events, and working with community organizations to gain youth input on substance use prevention activities. She is a great member of the Tioga County Public Health team. In addition to her roles on the coalitions, Kristin regularly volunteers for rabies clinics and other outreach events for Tioga County Public Health. 

She is a proud mother of three adorable girls. In her free time, Kristin enjoys baking, golfing, and spending time with her friends and family.
